My story of traveling through the world

I didn’t set out to collect countries. I set out to collect mornings.
This slow travel blog in Stockholm began with a small backpack and a big yes. Trains were missed, buses broke down, and strangers offered directions, tea, and laughter. Along the way, I learned three simple rules: smile first, say thank you in the local language, and always find the bakery.
Every border asked me to let go of a little fear and make room for wonder. I became a beginner again and again, and I discovered that this is where the best parts of travel live. Somewhere between a quiet sunrise and a noisy market, I realized that home is not a pin on a map. It is a compass you carry.
Through this travel blog, I share personal stories, slow travel reflections, and practical inspiration from Stockholm, Europe, and beyond. If you need a sign to start, this is it: walk one new street, order what you cannot pronounce, say yes. The world is closer than your excuses

Reader’s Thoughts

Clear, honest money tips—especially Dagens lunch and when a 24-hr SL pass makes sense. I stayed at Generator, ferried to Fjäderholmarna, and still kept costs down. The sample day + mapped neighborhoods prevented time waste. Add a tiny winter-on-a-budget sidebar and this becomes the definitive starter kit.

We loved how practical this guide is. Stroller routes, step-free metro notes, and the Djurgården focus made our days easy. Skansen + lunch at Östermalms Saluhall was a win. We stayed in Vasastan and felt like locals. Only wish: add a short list of rainy-day play cafés or aquariums for little ones—then it’s flawless.

Ann’s guide was spot-on. I followed the 2-day plan—Gamla stan, Vasa, Djurgården stroll, Monteliusvägen at sunset—and it flowed perfectly. The fika stops (Vete-Katten, Drop Coffee) were great, transit tips made getting around seamless, and Hotel Skeppsholmen was the perfect calm base
